My Hobbies and Interests!
I have a huge interest in watching science fiction and therefore like many sci- fi tv shows
and sci fi movies, in particular.. the classic ''Lost in Space'' TV series with the Space Family Robinson, the Robot & Dr Smith from the mid 1960's! Time Tunnel, Land of the
Giants and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea are my other tv faves!
Also, much of the Star Trek franchise, from the original series of the 60's through to the 90's
and beyond, as well much of the Dr Who franchise from the 60's up to the present time! Many other sci fi shows and sci fi movies as well ; including Planet of the Apes (1968)
Time Machine (1960), Forbidden Planet, Logan's Run, Battelstar Galactica (original series,) Sliders, Quantun Leap and Seaquest DSV.
Many legal and medical dramas and crime and action tv shows and movies are also
of great interest to me!
I like some of the music from the 60's and the 70's, but much of the music from the 1980's in particular, which was largely my nightclubbing era!
I also like some of the music from various artists from the 1990's up to the present day!
I am a huge fan of Abba and Bucks Fizz and other various pop and melodic dance tracks, particularly from the SAW/PWL prodution team and many of the artists they worked with over the years.
Other other interests include; science-astronomy, nature, health and medicine, antiques,
spiritual things, fossils and rocks, stamp collecting , coins and model trains. I'm also a longtime fan of Kylie and Madonna and many artists that have worked with Stock, Aitken and Waterman over the years! As well, I also like the Pet Shop Boys, Culture Club, the Human League and Duran Duran, among many others.
I like some horror flicks from the 80's through to the present, as well as some modern
movie musicals, including :
The Sound Of Music, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease,
Xanadu, Cant Stop the Music and Footloose.
I also saw the movie 'Mamma Mia' in early 2008 and was very
impressed with this adaptation from the stage musical, which I
had hoped to go and see for the first time in Sydney in October
2009 . However after a 5 month rerun again here, I didnt get
to see it after all and probably won't get the chance again!
This also marked the 10th anniversary since the musical's first
appearance on the world stage, which as many would know
began in the West End of London in the UK. It first came to Australia
for a limited season run in 2001.
I still look forward to the possibility that 'The Fizz' may come again
some day to the sunny shores of Australia and that I may finally get
to see them perform live in concert for myself and also perhaps get
the chance once again to meet Cheryl , Mike and Jay after so many
That would be very nice indeed !
